BAM Media M27: Bromcresol Purple Dextrose Broth (BCP)

Bacteriological Analytical Manual

Dextrose 10 g
Beef extract 3 g
Peptone 5 g
Bromcresol purple
(1.6% in ethanol)
2 ml
Distilled water 1 liter

Dissolve ingredients in distilled water. Dispense 12-15 ml into tubes. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Final pH, 7.0 ± 0.2.
