Meet MCMi -- Faces Behind the Initiative

"The staff working on this broad agency effort are exceptionally qualified and extremely committed. This initiative is a very complex, long-term effort that calls for collaboration, continuing support, and the ability to do things a little differently."
-- Luciana Borio, M.D., Assistant Commissioner for Counterterrorism Policy and Director, OCET
FDA's Medical Countermeasures initiative (MCMi) is an agency-wide effort to facilitate the availability of the drugs, vaccines, detection devices, and other equipment that will be needed to counter a chemical, biological, radioactive, or nuclear agent or an emerging infectious disease threat. Working on MCMi are scientific staff from FDA's three medical product centers and the Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats (OCET), which provides additional staff and resources to support their work.
We invite you meet some of the professionally diverse FDA staff involved in the MCMi.
