Based on resource availability, the expansion of JumpStart has potential for use in the CDER community. It is an effective test bed for new tools and technologies to determine best practices and how they could be broadened for use in the scientific regulatory review process.
Currently, JumpStart has been implemented to support the review team assessing clinical data. Expansion of the service to the other data types such as clinical pharmacology, pharmacology, and toxicology, offer great potential. The CDER Office of Computational Science is working on how to apply many of the JumpStart tools and technologies to achieve similar benefits for various disciplines.
