May 4-5, 2009 Stakeholders Meeting on Opioid Analgesic and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS)
On May 4 and 5, 2009, FDA’s Office of Special Health Issues (OSHI) and the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) held a series of stakeholder meetings with affected parties including patient advocacy organizations, organizations representing prescribers and dispensers, pharmacy organizations, and insurance providers. The purpose of the stakeholder meetings was to facilitate dialogue between FDA staff and interested stakeholders, and to obtain their comments and opinions regarding the development of a REMS for opioids.
