  • CTFA Board Policy Statement on 'Mad Cow Disease' (April 20, 2001)
    • Cosmetic products must not contain BSE-risk raw materials, as identified by WHO as SRMs.
    • Suppliers to certify bovine-derived ingredients free of risk materials
    • Tallow derivatives to be processed by methods that assure they are safe.
