September 2003 Our first public meeting was held in Herndon, Virginia.
The team introduced an initiative to modernize our animal
feed safety system. The primary purpose of this meeting
was to request and obtain constructive feedback. |  |

April, 2005 Our second public meeting was held in Omaha, Nebraska.
The team provided an initial draft of the AFSS framework
and several key working definitions. Feedback was again

where the team began sharing the relative risk-ranking model.
The presentation focused on the health hazard
