National Pet Week 2002

FDA Veterinarian Newsletter 2002 Volume XVII, No II

This year National Pet Week is scheduled for May 5-11, 2002. The theme, "People, Pets, & Veterinarians... a Winning Team" highlights the successful partnerships formed by owners, pets, and their veterinarians. Pet owners depend on their veterinarians for the most current health information available to care for their beloved family pets.

National Pet Week is an opportunity to raise awareness of health issues facing pets, and emphasizes the importance of regular check-ups to maintain healthy pets and quality of life for years to come. National Pet Week 2002 is co-sponsored by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Auxiliary to the AVMA, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the North American Veterinary Technician Association.
