Duties:

  • Provides support to program areas on special projects by performing research on a wide range of material and information, conducting studies, and evaluating and analyzing data.
  • Manages the security, integrity, tracking, and accuracy of the electronic records program for regulatory and scientific documents generated.
  • Develops and provides training on the use of automation resources.
  • Performs necessary data clean-up tasks, and designs and performs analyses on various types of data and generates reports.

 

Qualifications:

GS-9: Possess at least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service)that included: operating automated information gathering and reporting systems to store or retrieve data; and collecting technical information from electronic databases for the preparation of reports, presentations, and summaries; OR possess 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree in a field related to the position to be filled; OR possess a combination of the education and experience listed above in which your percentage of specialized experience and education totals to 100%.

 
GS-11: Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-09level or higher in the Federal service, that included evaluating the accuracy of electronic data systems; assisting with the design and implementation of an organization's electronic information gathering or reporting systems; conducting quality assessments of data; and performing data gathering, quantitative/statistical and qualitative analysis to develop reports; OR possess 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in a field related to the position to be filled; OR possess a combination of the education and experience listed above in which your percentage of specialized experience and education totals to 100%.
 
GS-12: Possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service, that included providing technical guidance to office personnel in the use of data systems; evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of data systems; developing and implementing an electronic information gathering and reporting system; conducting quality assessments and analyses of data; performing data mining and other statistical and descriptive analyses to produce studies and reports; and developing automated data mining, analysis, and/or reporting systems.
