Technical Information Specialist
Description of duties:
- Provide high level analysis of data and information systems and standard computer languages to enhance the automated information gathering and reporting systems
- Perform a variety of website, system, and data storage analysis for all current electronic and paper files associated with regulatory, scientific, and management programs
- Interpret statutory language into a set of requirements to fulfill informatics or analytics request, develop reports, and design software applications
GS-13: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service that included providing technical guidance to office personnel in the use of database systems; evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of data storage and reporting systems; developing and maintaining a computer tracking, filing, and retrieval system; and using an automated system to extract data to produce computer reports.
