ADMINISTRATIVE - PERSONNEL
AUTHORITY FOR COLLECTION OF COMMISSIONED OFFICERS INDEBTEDNESS
Effective Date: 12/23/2009
1. AUTHORITY DELEGATED.
To collect indebtedness to the government from former PHS Commissioned Corps officers, incurred as a result of failure to complete a period of obligatory service.
2. TO WHOM DELEGATED.
Director, Office of Financial Management (OFM) and Director, Division of Accounting, OFM, along with collaboration with the Commissioned Corps Compensation Branch, PSC.
All previous delegations of authority inconsistent with the provisions of this delegation are superseded.
This authority must be exercised in accordance with Personnel Instruction 1, Subchapter CC22.9 of the Commissioned Corps Personnel Manual and applicable statutory, regulatory, policy, program, and procedural requirements.
4. REDELEGATION AND CERTIFICATION.
These authorities may not be further redelegated.
5. EFFECTIVE DATE.
The Deputy Commissioner for Administration approved this delegation, via memorandum, on December 23, 2009.
