1. DIVISION OF WHITE OAK CONSOLIDATION (DAMBEA).

A. Evaluates and implements strategies that enable the Agency to maximize efficiency through the consolidation of specific and shared functions.

B. Coordinates budget and schedule in order to successfully implement project phases.

C. Establishes management structure and dialog with GSA, architectural and engineering design and construction contractors to ensure the FDA needs and concerns are fully addressed.

D. Monitors construction progress as individual projects proceed and coordinates necessary changes.

E. Provides technical direction interaction with design architects that ensure engineering, architectural and programmatic requirements are met in new facilities.

F. Coordinates the various activities required to successfully relocate the Agency to its new location including the move, Information Technology (IT), security, safety and building operations.

G. Participates in the development of Agency policy involving the consolidation program.

2. AUTHORITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE.

The functional statement for this office was approved by the Commissioner, Food and Drugs, effective January 13, 2009.
