Applications Submitted and Filed PDUFA FY 2006
The vertical stacked column graph presents the number of priority and standard NDA and BLA applications submitted and filed for FY 1998 through FY 2006. The scale is in increments of 30 with a range from 0 to 140. The graph shows that the total number of submitted and filed NDA and BLA applications, including standard and priority, was about 120 in FY 1998 and increased steadily to about 130 in FY 2000. From FY 2001 to FY 2003 the number of submitted and filed applications dropped to near 100, increased to close to 130 in FY 2005, fell again in FY 2005 to close to 100, and then increased again in FY 2006 to over 120. Each stacked bar of the graph is divided between standard and priority NDA and BLA applications to show the proportion of priority applications versus standard applications. It shows that the proportion of submitted and filed priority NDA and BLA applications was about one-fourth from FY 1998 to FY 2000. In FY 2001 and FY 2003 the number of applications submitted fell to around one-sixth of all applications. From FY 2004 to FY 2006 the proportion was again close to about one-fourth.
