(1) Generic Technology Areas and (2) Specific Device Examples
The survey results revealed that 36 specific device groups had been cited by multiple participants in their evaluations of the generic technology areas.
In a number of cases, different participants had listed the same specific device in different categories. (E.g., ocular prosthetics were listed under "Artificial organs", "Intelligent devices", and "Electrical stimulation" by different participants.) The table below indicates the generic technology areas that were associated with each of the specific device groups.
