NIST NVLAP Accreditation Activities

This project consists of all activities required to maintain the accreditation of the XCL as a secondary x-ray calibration laboratory. Accreditation ensures that regulatory measurements remain verifiably traceable to national standards and that laboratory work is of high quality. It provides for external peer review of the Quality System through biennial on-site assessments, internal audits, and management reviews. The project ensures laboratory compliance with appropriate national and international standards, thereby maintaining its credibility as an independent calibration laboratory for the regulated x-ray industry.
