New Employee Checklist
|Prior to Entry|
|Review the contents of your Welcome Packet.|
Contact the Onboarding Coordinator (Grant LaGasse, via email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 240-276-8640) if you have any questions or concerns.
|Your First Few Weeks at CVM|
|Attend HHS, FDA, and CVM orientation sessions|
|Meet with all members of the Center Executive Board (you will receive an email during your first week which provides additional information)|
|Complete all required documents and forms internal to the Office and received during HHS Orientation (if applicable).|
|Complete CVM Entrance Survey.|
|Visit the Center's wellness program website and Traction site to learn about wellness offerings through CVM and FDA.|
|Take a tour of the work area and other facilities including location of kitchen, mailboxes, document room, etc.|
|Obtain necessary Building Access to include office key and key fob (if applicable).1|
|Obtain token for remote computer use. Contact Management Officer upon beginning of employment.1|
|Learn the location of and how to use office equipment and programs (e.g., copiers, fax machines, telephones, computer, e-mail, ITAS/ATR).1|
|Learn about frequently used internal forms, where they are kept, and how they are used.1|
|Obtain information about CVM (e.g., culture, structure, policies and procedures, helpful resources).1|
|Learn what CVM courses should be taken, including: |
Learn what Office-specific and elective courses could/should be taken.
Complete mandatory training within your first 30 days.
|Complete Ethics paperwork within your first 30 days (an email will be sent to you during your first week by the CVM Ethics Liaison and will include information on your filing status and links to all applicable ethics forms).|
|Obtain information on classes offered by the CVM Talent Development Staff.|
Obtain information on the services that ERIC (Employee Resource Information Center) provides.
|Ensure that you have clarity regarding your new role and responsibilities at CVM, including performance expectations and employee milestones. This can be discussed with your Supervisor.|
