About FDA
Strategic Partnerships and Intellectual Property
Mission
The mission of FDA's Office of Strategic Partnerships & Intellectual Property (SPIP) is to facilitate collaborations that lead to improved public health through advancing innovative research.
As the Agency's central resource for developing collaborations and public-private partnerships, SPIP provides guidance and advice to FDA and potential external stakeholders on identifying and developing partnerships that leverage resources both external to and within the Agency. The SPIP team serves as an internal consulting resource to scientists, regulators, and policy-makers within FDA. SPIP also identifies and oordinates cross-cutting opportunities for collaboration across the Agency.
