NCTR Location, Facilities & Services

NCTR's physical facilities are located in central Arkansas and occupies 30 buildings spanning 1,000,000 square feet of floor space.

  • 82 AAALAC-accredited breeding and conventional animal rooms
  • 23 specialized labs for pathological processing and evaluation
  • On-site full-service pathology services contractor
  • BioSafety level-3 laboratory complex containing 10 individual BSL-3 laboratories
  • Nonhuman primate research center

  • MicroPETâ„¢ imaging facility
  • Scientific and technical library available to NCTR staff
  • SPF (specific pathogen free) barrier
  • GLP/GMP-compliant diet preparation facilities
